In 2008, Cuzzolina started in law serving violent felons and running court documents on a road bike in downtown Los Angeles. Around 2011, he started appearing in court as a certified law student. Today, Cuzzolina advises and represents businesses and private clients in collection matters. The Firm’s clients range from individuals collecting small consumer debts, attorneys collecting from clients, to businesses filing hundreds of collection cases. Cuzzolina brings to his clients over 10 years of debt collection experience. Cuzzolina regularly manages hundreds of active collection cases and judgments, regularly conducts mediation and settlement conferences, and is often retained in the “eleventh hour” to fix, repair, or otherwise mitigate and litigate cases other attorneys have almost lost. Cuzzolina still takes a hands on approach and regularly manages cases. Cuzzolina received the 2019 & 2020 AVVO Clients’ Choice Award and has a 5 star google rating.
Jan is our legal administrator. She is fluent in Spanish and brings 14 years of legal experience, specializing in Bankruptcy, Civil Litigation & Estate Planning. Jan loves commercial collections, handling 100+ files at a given time. She has successfully drafted writ of attachments causing sheriff business seizures and motions for property sales leading to fully paid accounts. Jan has represented Creditors at bankruptcy hearings and has drafted oppositions to plan confirmations, leading to larger payments for our clients. She is comfortable and enjoys bankruptcy law, having filed hundreds, if not thousands, of consumer bankruptcy cases throughout her career. Jan eats, sleeps and breathes law; on her free time, she assists other attorneys in the drafting/reviewing/e-filing of bankruptcy petitions/documents.
Marco is our legal assistant. He is fluent in Spanish and is in charge of the office's internet presence via social media and digital marketing. In his early 20's, he brings new ideas and energy to the office. He also handles the day to day of the office's commercial collections department and assists everyone else with any and all matters that may arise. He enjoys enforcing judgments, causing bank levies, wage garnishments and recording abstracts on Debtors' properties. His skills include skip-tracing, surveillance, locating debtors and their assets. He is regularly hired to serve legal documents as he a registered process server. Currently, he is working on becoming a notary.
